ABOUT THE ARTIST
As a youngster growing up in Des Plaines Illinois, I began by drawing and painting horses.
After moving to Sarasota Florida, my interest in art work was rekindled by the brilliant
colors, the beauty of nature, and the tropical setting that surrounded me.
Originally self taught I refined my techniques under the guidance of Max Muller at the
Ringling School of Art and Design. To further my education, I attend workshops when time
permits.
I use a unique watercolor layering technique to creat intense depth of color within
lush tropical settings filled with enchanting foliage and wildlife. My collection of
stylized paintings, reflect a desire to share the joy of nature's beauty I feel so fortunate
to find all around me. My hope is that the viewer experiences this lustrous beauty as well.
I have been a member of the Sarasota and Venice Art Centers and my art work is displayed in
area gallerys, art centers, gift, frame, home decor shops and restuarants. When time
allows, I display at art festivals and various other shows.
